A■ INITIAL CASUALTIES of a long-term marital crisis
Here are 8 potential initial casualties at the ruin of the very foundation of LOVE

1. Communication
Open and honest communication often breaks down, leading to misunderstandings and resentment.
2. Trust
Betrayal, dishonesty, or perceived betrayal can erode trust, making it challenging to repair.
3. Intimacy
A decline in physical affection and emotional distance will definitely break intimacy and worsen feelings of disconnection.
5. Shared Interests
Couples may stop engaging in shared activities and passions, –11leading to a sense of unhealthy independence.
6. Mutual honor
Criticism, blame, and contempt can erode mutual respect, making it challenging to resolve conflicts.
7. Sense of Humor
The ability to laugh together and find joy in each other’s company may be lost, leading to a more toxic environment.
8. Mutual altar
Breakdown of spiritual unity, common convictions about godly values, leading to possible rebellion to spiritual authorities.

Being aware of these potential effects can help you address issues early on and work towards healing and strengthening your relationship.

A■ PRACTICAL WAYS To Restore Love

• GOD must be given the primary priority in YOUR life, thoughts and actions.
* There must be willingness and intentionality.

#1. LET go of GRUDGES and RESENTMENTS
Work towards forgiveness and moving forward.
“Love keeps no record of wrongs..” 1Cor 13:5
“Forgive each other just as God forgave you..” Eph 4:32
#2. Assess the IMPACT of the CRISIS on your relationship & Accept RESPONSIBILITY for your ACTIONS and be WILLING to WORK together.
“Confess your faults to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.” Jam 5:16
#3. DISCUSS honestly about your feelings, needs and hurts.
Restore active communication. Make it as healthy as you can. Listen more than you want to talk. “Speak the truth in love..” Eph 4:15
#4. Focus on rebuilding TRUST thru transparency, dependability and sincere commitment.
Prov 3:3-4 “Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.”
Prov 3:3-4 MSB “Don’t lose your grip on love and loyalty. Tie them around your neck; carve their initials on your heart. Earn a reputation for living well in God’s eyes and the eyes of the people.”
#5. Prioritize emotional and physical intimacy
Engage in activities that bring you closer.
“Love each other deeply because love covers a multitude of sins..” 1Pet 4:18
#6. Seek Help When necessary.
Prov 13:10 Where there is strife, there is pride, but wisdom is found in those who take advice.
